Once again, the The Bottom 10 thanks the many kind folks who shared their opinions this week, especially those who were passionate about our choice of the the highly-coveted No. 5 spot. We will take all suggestions -- at least the ones that were anatomically possible -- under consideration.

Here's what you had to say about the Week 11 rankings:

First, The Smart Ones

How DARE you put A&M in your Bottom 10 poll. I'm only kidding. Forget the BCS, this is the poll I look forward to each week, and I was hoping against hope that the one bright spot I would have this week (as an Aggie grad living in Austin) would be A&M at No. 5 in your poll. Yes!

Being in the coveted 5 Hole is like being in the "just visiting" area of the Monopoly board. It's a good cautionary message to the once proud program to which it falls each week: "Repent, lest ye find yourself permanently rubbing elbows with SMU, UL-Who Cares, and the other dregs of college football." As a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2002 I applaud your choice. However I'm confident that we will someday soon pass go and collect our $200 (provided that is not an NCAA violation).

Now, The Rest Of The Class

I can't believe you didn't consider Florida State for your "coveted" number 5 spot. Nebraska loses to a powerful Texas team and gets stuck there. FSU lost to a Clemson team that is barely keeping their head above water and isn't even in the running. Way to go ESPN!!!!!!

Riley Weems
Grand Island, Nebraska

Florida State loses its first Bowden Bowl during Clemson's worst season under Tommy Bowden. Clemson just lost to Wake Forrest 45-17. ... How did Florida State lose to this team and then not even make the Bottom 10!? Come on, now.

Sue FitzGerald
Atlanta, GA

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there were more deserving teams of the coveted No. 5 spot. Virginia Tech, riding the wave (win, loss, win, loss). Miami down in the dumps (two straight losses). Florida State losing a scandalous game -- how can you beat teams like Florida, dominate Wake Fforest, and hang in there with a very good Miami squad only to lose to your son. (Hmmm, "Son, I don't want you to lose your job. Here, have a win against a top team").

A&M may have given up 77 points, but it was to "arguably" the best team in the nation. Give someone else the recognition they warranted for their play over the weekend.

C'mon, you've got to give the No. 5 spot to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

I mean, we beat Auburn, Maryland, NC State, played Flordia State to one point. Then we lose to BYU and Duke. Duke!!!

Are we the most schizophrenic team ever or what?

We Didn't Put Freakin' Miami On The List

Miami should be in the Bottom 10. Anyone that loses as poorly as they do deserves to be ranked at the bottom. What a bunch of sissies.

Why not put Miami on the Bottom 10, or are you afraid Kellen Winslow will whine and cry again.

Public Service Announcement

Pillow Fight addendum alert! I have news of another Pillow Fight of the Week that I must let you know about. On Friday, November 14th, students at Oregon State University are going to try to get into the Guinness Book of World Records by staging the world's largest pillow fight in the campus' Memorial Union Quad. I only tell you this because of the college (if not football) aspect of it.

Deep Thoughts

I never thought I would see the day that the annual University of Arizona/Arizona State University game might be your "pillow fight of the week." It looks like this might be the year. Does the loser play Illinois in the "Dead Rose Bowl?"

Item: Iowa State has lost their last five games by a combined average score of 43-6. Item: The Iowa State student government recently voted to give school funds to an organization that teaches students about bondage. Coincidence? I think not.

SMU's only problem is that they play the wrong kind of football. Scoring 6 points a game would make them king of a league like the English Premiership. Look out Manchester United, the Ponies are gunning for you!

Because We Love His Name

No matter how bad SMU is, no matter how many games we lose, I sleep soundly at night knowing that we're gonna screw TCU's strength of schedule. I think that's been Bennett's plan all along. GO PONIES!

When is UCF going to finally crack the Bottom 10??? We're 3-10 with a 4-point win over Florida Atlantic and a 9-point win over Buffalo. Our losses include a 28-0 pounding at the hands of Ohio University and a total annihilation by Kent State.

As an alum, I keep asking "When, when O' Lord is it gonna be our time?" Please recognize the horror that is Golden Knight football!

We get blown out twice in a row at home. We are losers of four straight home games. We have more turnovers than touchdowns. We have almost as many penalty yards as rushing yards. We gutted our student section and sold the seats at a thousand bucks a pop so wealthy alumni could watch our program's demise from both sides of the field. And we are about to walk into Notre Dame to get worked over by a 3-6 team. Show some respect and at least put BYU back on the waiting list!

Joe
Nephi, Utah

Notre Dame doesn't even make the waiting list? 3-6, just edging out Navy with a field goal, and three of the worst defeats in the history of the program (in fact, going back to last year's USC game, the Irish have 4 of the worst 20 defeats in school history (100+ years)in just 10 games). And just like that, the faithful are getting restless. Again.

How can Iowa State not be in the Bottom 10? They have lost seven in a row. They are the only Big 12 team not to have a Big 12 win. They have not scored a point in 128 minutes and 32 seconds. Bottom line, they are terrible. Please do the right thing and put them on the list next week.

Michael Paul
Des Moines, Iowa

I thought for certain that the University of Washington would earn a place in the Bottom 10 for losing to oh-so-lowly Arizona.

Perhaps there will be a Top 10 for Most Underachieving? The Huskies should top that list.

Okay, I admit it. I'm a Wazzu fan.

Can you hear that Ron Turner? It's the sound of your tenure at Illinois coming to an end. If only you had recruited...

Now, what do the Illini have to do to surpass Army and SMU?

Jeremy
Chicago, IL

All the teams you have listed are very worthy of Bottom 10 status, however I would have to say a Penn St.-Indiana clash should be the headlining pillow fight of the week and that the Washington Huskies with losses to Nevada and Arizona are knocking very hard for entry into the "elite" Bottom 10.
