KENT, Ohio -- Kent State coach Dean Pees received a one-year contract extension Tuesday to remain with the Golden Flashes through the 2006 season.
Kent State won two of its last three games and finished 5-7 overall, 4-4 in the Mid-American Conference.
The victory totals were the program's second best in the past 15 years. In 2001, Kent State was 6-5 overall, 5-3 in the MAC.
Pees has a 17-51 record in six seasons at Kent State.
