Harbaugh is currently Oakland's QB coach
SAN DIEGO -- Former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh is one of four finalists to become football coach at Division I-AA San Diego.
Harbaugh currently is in his second season as quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders. His father, Jack, was formerly head coach at Western Kentucky.
The other candidates are USD offensive coordinator Tim Drevno, Concord College coach Greg Quick and former Columbia coach Raymond Tellier.
The four finalists will each go through a two-day interview process next week. Coach Kevin McGarry was fired in October.
Harbaugh played 15 NFL season for six teams: Chicago, Indianapolis, Baltimore, San Diego, Detroit and Carolina. His 1995 Indianapolis Colts fell one incomplete pass short of going to the Super Bowl.
