DeBord out at Central Michigan
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Mike DeBord resigned as Central Michigan's football coach Wednesday.
Central Michigan finished 3-9 this season, and DeBord's four-year record at the school was 12-34.
"It was the most difficult decision I've ever made," DeBord said in a statement. "I felt to finish the rebuilding process that we needed more resources and guaranteed time.''
Central Michigan athletic director Herb Deromedi said DeBord's decision to leave was his own.
"Neither the athletics department nor any representative of the university asked for a resignation," Deromedi said in a statement.
