Starting CB Reeves, two backups are out
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Three Purdue players have been ruled academically ineligible for Thursday's Capital One Bowl against Georgia, including starting cornerback Jacques Reeves.
Reeves is fourth on the team with 64 tackles and also has two interceptions.
The other two players the school ruled ineligible -- defensive tackle Dontrey Flemings and offensive lineman Nick Pilipauskis -- have played sparingly this season.
Purdue (9-3) plays Georgia (10-3) Thursday in Orlando, Florida.
Georgia receiver Michael Johnson and cornerback Kenny Bailey were ruled academically ineligible for the game on December 19th.
