Raiders assistant joins Callahan in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Jay Norvell followed Bill Callahan to Nebraska on Friday and was named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Cornhuskers.
Norvell spent the last two seasons with the Oakland Raiders, where he served as tight ends coach on Callahan's staff.
The 40-year-old Norvell spent four seasons as wide receivers coach with the Indianapolis Colts and worked briefly on Bob Stoops' staff at Oklahoma in 2002 before joining the Raiders.
The addition of Norvell completes Callahan's full-time staff for the 2004 season.
