Cadet charged with 15 Code violations
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- A West Point cadet has been charged with taking nude and seminude pictures of several female cadets without their knowledge and posting them on his computer, authorities said.
Cadet Mark Conliffe, 23, of Louisville, Ky. was charged last week with 15 violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which applies to all cadets.
Conliffe, a senior, was also an offensive lineman for the Black Knights football team.
If found guilty, Conliffe would face dismissal from the Army, up to 25 years in a military prison, and forfeiture of pay and allowances.
West Point spokesman Lt. Col. James Whaley said the academy takes the allegations seriously and will investigate the incident thoroughly while protecting the rights of the victims and the accused.
