White throws for two TDs in scrimmage
NORMAN, Okla. -- True freshman running back Adrian Peterson dislocated his shoulder during Oklahoma's first scrimmage Sunday night.
Peterson's left shoulder was injured as he fell to the ground late in the practice. He carried six times for eight yards before going down.
"It's a minor dislocation," OU head coach Bob Stoops said. "From what I understand, the rest of it looks good. There isn't anything else wrong with it. We'll just take some time to let him get the soreness out."
Meanwhile, quarterback Jason White completed 11-of-17 passes, had two touchdowns and was intercepted once during the two-hour, 118-play scrimmage that drew about 11,000 spectators.
"Jason looked great," Stoops said. I thought all of the quarterbacks looked great and Jason in particular. It's what you'd expect."
On receptions, James Moses caught four passes for 29 yards, Quentin Chaney caught three for 41, while Wilson had three for 30.
On defense, linebacker Rufus Alexander led the team with eight tackles, while fellow linebacker, Demarrio Pleasant, and defensive back Brandon Shelby both had six.
