X-rays turn out negative

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State quarterback Chris Rix
left Saturday's game against Clemson late in the first quarter with
an injured right ankle.
Rix was taken to the locker room to be examined. He was replaced
by sophomore Wyatt Sexton.
X-rays were negative. Rix, noticeably hobbled, returned to the
sidelines before halftime.
Clemson led Florida State (No. 11 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP ) 7-3 when Rix got hurt as he was sacked. Rix was
3-of-8 passing for 22 yards before leaving.
