Skinner has date pushed back
BYU: One of two men facing minor charges connected to the BYU rape investigation case made his initial appearance in court Tuesday.
Suspended player Antwaun Harris is charged with providing false statements to police. His next court appearance scheduled Jan. 18. Court officials said he's expected to waive his right to a preliminary hearing.
Another suspended BYU player, Billy Skinner, was also supposed to be in court on a charge of dealing harmful material to a minor. But he had his initial appearance continued to Jan. 4.
Four former Brigham Young University football players were indicted on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl at a party last summer.
Court documents from the police investigation unsealed last week show as many as nine players, all newly recruited freshmen, were at the apartment where the incident allegedly took place.
