Players were involved in bar fight
ATHENS, Ga. -- Defensive tackle Kedric Golston and linebacker Derrick White were suspended by Georgia on Wednesday for their roles in a bar fight on April 10.
Golston, a starter, will miss the Bulldogs' opener against Boise State. White was suspended two games and will also sit against South Carolina.
Georgia coach Mark Richt said both seniors will be subject to internal discipline and community service assignments. He indicated White's suspension was longer because of additional internal matters.
Police charged Golston with simple battery of a police officer, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct. White, who is vying for a starting spot, was charged with disorderly conduct.
