Pearson is off the team and will miss senior season
OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi running back Vashon Pearson will not play his senior season after being declared ineligible by the NCAA, coach Ed Orgeron said Wednesday.
"He is no longer on the team," Orgeron said in a statement issued by the school.
Pearson led the Rebels in rushing as a junior last season with 807 yards on 158 carries with three touchdowns.
He was listed as a co-starter with Jamal Pittman at the end of spring workouts.
