Considering the first four games of Clemson's schedule (Texas A&M, at Maryland, Miami and Boston College), most experts thought a 2-2 start by the Tigers would be great. But Clemson has a chance to make it 3-1. That would give the Tigers a shot at a tremendous season. It's equally important for BC. The loser of this game is probably out of the ACC title race.

The Tigers will need more balance on offense this week. Charlie Whitehurst threw for 288 yards against Miami, but the Tigers only ran for 90. The offensive line and RBs James Davis and Reggie Merriweather will have to step it up in order for the Tigers to be more versatile.

The health of QB Quinton Porter is a big key for the Eagles. Quarterback play is critical in big games. Before spraining his right ankle against Florida State, Porter executed the BC offense effectively against the 'Noles.

One thing's for sure: You can bet Tommy Bowden called his dad to get the scoop on the Eagles. It's unique to have access to that kind of information.
