Reliant roof to be open for Big 12 title game
Reliant Stadium has a retractable roof that is closed for some games when the Houston Texans play here. But Big 12 officials said Friday the roof will be open for Saturday's league championship game between No. 2 Texas and Colorado, which kicks off at 1 ET (ABC).
That means the Buffaloes will have to endure some unseasonable temperatures, which are forecast to be in the 80s. But it could also cut down on the noise as the crowd is expected to favor Texas.
"I don't care," said Texas coach Mack Brown. "I've got a lot of things on my plate tomorrow, and the roof is not one of them."
