Tulsa's Adair, 21, died Friday after weeklong illness
TULSA, Okla. -- A memorial service has been scheduled for the University of Tulsa football player who died after a weeklong illness.
The service for Devin Adair will be held Monday at 8:30 p.m. at Sharp Chapel on the university's campus. Adair died Friday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital.
Adair, 21, transferred from El Camino Junior College in California. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native started school in January and went through Tulsa's spring football drills in March. He was expected to contend for the starting tight end job this season for the Golden Hurricane.
Adair was first hospitalized last weekend.
