Auburn RB Lester suspended for unresolved academic issues
Brad Lester's bid to become Auburn's top running back this season will have to wait.
The junior was suspended Friday due to unresolved academic issues and will not return until those issues have been resolved, according to a school press release.
Lester rushed for 510 yards and nine touchdowns on 104 carries last season, but was then suspended for Auburn's Cotton Bowl showdown against Nebraska in January.
The Tigers open their season against Kansas State on Saturday.
