Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe was contacted by people involved with the UCLA search last week to gauge his interest in the job, but Kragthorpe told the Bruins he was not interested in interviewing and was staying at Louisville. |

The top three names in the search to replace Rich Rodriguez are Florida associate head coach John "Doc" Holliday, former Auburn coach Terry Bowden and Florida State assistant head coach Rick Trickett. The Mountaineers also interviewed Central Michigan coach Butch Jones in Mount Pleasant, Mich., on Wednesday. Jones just finished his first season as head coach of the Chippewas, after serving as Rich Rodriguez's wide receivers coach at West Virginia for two years. Jones previously worked seven seasons as an assistant coach at Central Michigan. Another candidate West Virginia athletic director Ed Pastilong already had contact with was Virginia Tech defensive coordinator. |
