White let go as Orange's offensive coordinator

12/5/2007 - Syracuse Orange

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Four days after he said he would shake things up, Syracuse football coach Greg Robinson said Wednesday he is replacing offensive coordinator Brian White.

The move comes after athletic director Daryl Gross's announcement last week that Robinson would remain as coach in 2008, despite leading the Orange to the worst three-year stretch in the history of the program, including its first two 10-loss seasons.

Robinson's teams have gone 1-10, 4-8, and 2-10 and, in those 28 losses Syracuse was outscored by 514 points as Robinson sought to make the transition from the Orange's long-standing option attack to a more wide-open passing game.
