Willingham not ready to finalize Washington coaching staff
SEATTLE -- Washington coach Tyrone Willingham isn't quite ready to finalize his coaching staff for next season.
Willingham spoke Monday about new offensive assistant Brian White, who signed a one-year contract last Friday. White is expected to be the Huskies special teams/tight ends coach.
But White's assignment might change based on who Willingham hires for the final opening on his offensive staff. Currently, the Huskies are without a running backs coach after Trent Miles became head coach at Indiana State.
As for White, Willingham says he first became aware of White when he was the offensive coordinator at Wisconsin. White was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I assistant coach of the year in 2004. He was fired after serving as offensive coordinator at Syracuse this past season.
