WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Clemson running back C.J. Spiller left the Tigers' game Thursday night's 12-7 loss at No. 21 Wake Forest in the second quarter because of a leg injury.

Spiller appeared to injure his left leg on a 10-yard gain midway through the quarter. He had an ice pack on his left knee and covered his head with a towel. Officials announced at the start of the second half that he would not return.

Spiller had 10 yards on two carries.
