Northwestern linebacker Arrington out for year with knee injury
Northwestern senior linebacker Malcolm Arrington will miss the rest of the regular season with a left knee injury, the team announced Monday.Arrington sustained the injury in the first half of Saturday's 48-26 win against Purdue. There's no official word on whether Arrington tore ligaments or will undergo surgery in the coming weeks. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald said there's a chance Arrington could return for a bowl game.
Sophomore Nate Williams replaced Arrington against Purdue and likely will start this week at middle linebacker against Indiana.
