EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour has become the Mid-American Conference's career leader in total offense.
The senior from suburban Chicago surpassed Byron Leftwich's record of 12,084 yards on a 12-yard TD pass to Kito Poblah that tied Central's game at Michigan State 20-20 on Saturday.
Leftwich, of Marshall, now is the starter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
LeFevour is a four-year starter for the Chippewas and has run their spread offense so successfully that he holds every major career passing record in school history.
