RB Whittaker could start vs. Sooners
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas coach Mack Brown said that running backs Tre' Newton (mild concussion) and Vondrell McGee (left shoulder) are listed as day to day heading into Saturday's showdown against No. 20 Oklahoma.

Brown said Monday that Newton and McGee would be limited in practice and that the third-ranked Longhorns might have a better idea of how they are progressing after Tuesday's afternoon practice.
Texas offensive coordinator Greg Davis said Fozzy Whittaker, who has battled nagging injuries of his own, could start against the Sooners at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Cody Johnson is also listed on this week's depth chart, as are D.J. Monroe and Jeremy Hills.
