Forcier, who has started Michigan's first six games, returned to practice Wednesday and has a 75 percent chance of playing Saturday, according to Michigan's official injury report. The freshman from San Diego sustained the concussion early in the fourth quarter of last Saturday's loss to Iowa.
He was still experiencing headaches Monday, and head coach Rich Rodriguez said before Wednesday's practice that doctors were conducting final tests. Rodriguez said that if Forcier is healthy, he will get the start against Delaware State.
Forcier also has been dealing with an injury to his right (throwing) shoulder sustained Sept. 26 against Indiana. Though Forcier's older brother Jason, a former Wolverines quarterback, told The Michigan Daily that the shoulder injury is quite severe, Rodriguez doesn't expect it to limit the freshman.
Michigan senior running back Carlos Brown also is listed as probable for the Delaware State game. Brown didn't make the trip to Iowa after sustaining a concussion last week in practice. Brandon Minor is expected to get the start at running back.
