Huskies lose Marcus Campbell for year
Connecticut junior defensive end Marcus Campbell will miss the 2010 season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during a non-contact drill in Saturday's practice. He was projected as a starter for the Huskies.
Campbell missed all of 2009 because of academics but returned this spring and worked his way back to the top of the depth chart. He has played in 23 career games, registering 24 tackles and two sacks.
UConn was already down one defensive end after the school announced that Greg Lloyd would redshirt this season while recovering from his own knee injury.
