Huskers to start Taylor Martinez at QB

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Redshirt freshman Taylor Martinez has been announced as the starting quarterback for Nebraska's opener against Western Kentucky.

Coach Bo Pelini has kept his decision on the starter under wraps. But a half-hour before kickoff, Martinez introduced himself as the starter during a video presentation on Memorial Stadium's big-screen scoreboard.
Martinez beat out 2009 starter Zac Lee and Cody Green, the top backup a year ago.
