EVANSTON, Ill. -- Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio was back on the sideline for Saturday's 35-27 win over Northwestern.
Dantonio had a mild heart attack immediately after the Notre Dame game a month ago, then a blood clot in his leg. He had worked the past two games from the pressbox.
"I feel good, very, very good," he said. "I wouldn't go out if I didn't think my health was good."
The coach had an up-close view as the Spartans rallied from an early 17-point deficit to beat the Wildcats and remain unbeaten at 8-0 overall, 4-0 in the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, cornerback Chris L. Rucker did not make the trip. He was suspended indefinitely after being charged with drunken driving following the Michigan game two weeks ago.
