Wisconsin-Whitewater runs streak to 24
WHITEWATER, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater now has the longest winning streak in NCAA football.
The Division III football team defeated Wis.-Oshkosh 48-21 Saturday, bringing its winning streak to 24. It also helped them win their sixth consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and send them to the NCAA playoffs.
Appalachian State had its 26-game winning streak snapped by Georgia Southern on Saturday.
Whitewater is 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the WIAC this season.
