Wisconsin junior running back John Clay missed Saturday's game against Indiana with a sprained knee.

Clay wasn't in uniform for the Badgers (No. 7 BCS, No. 6 AP), who used sophomore Montee Ball and freshman James White at running back.

Ball ran for three touchdowns in his first career start, and White, who returned from a knee sprain that sidelined him the past few weeks, ran for two more as Wisconsin (No. 7 BCS, No. 6 AP) routed Indiana 83-20.

Ball ran for 167 yards and White added 144 yards in place of Clay. Clay, the 2009 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, suffered the knee sprain last week against Purdue. He ranks second in the Big Ten and 13th nationally in rushing average (103.2 ypg).
