STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh says his schedule will not allow him to attend a Michigan banquet honoring his 1985 Wolverines team this week.
Harbaugh said on a conference call Tuesday that he will be on a recruiting trip and unable to go to the Michigan Football Bust team banquet Thursday night.
Harbaugh's attendance could have been awkward with Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez's job status in doubt. Harbaugh says he will not talk about any jobs other than the one he has with the Cardinal.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon says he will not make a decision on Rodriguez until after the Wolverines play in a bowl game.
