Source: Janzen Jackson to leave Vols
Janzen Jackson, one of the top defensive backs in the SEC, is withdrawing from school at Tennessee, a source told ESPN on Monday afternoon.
The safety from Louisiana, who just finished his sophomore season, is leaving UT to address some personal issues. These are the same issues, the source said, that caused Jackson to miss some practices leading up to the Music City Bowl in December.
The school expects Jackson to return to the team in time for the 2011 season. The source added that Jackson leaves school in good academic standing.
Jackson, a second-team All-SEC selection, was third on Tennessee's team this season with 65 tackles and also had four interceptions.
