Report: Maryland wants Randy Shannon

Maryland has extended an offer to former Miami coach Randy Shannon for its vacant defensive coordinator position, according to a report in The Baltimore Sun.
A source with knowledge of the discussions between Shannon and Maryland told the Sun that no agreement had been reached Thursday, but that Shannon has indicated he would like the job.
Adding Shannon would fill out new head coach Randy Edsall's coaching staff.
