Desmond Howard joins group's board
INDIANAPOLIS -- Desmond Howard has joined the board of directors of USA Football, the official youth football development partner of the NFL.
The 1991 Heisman Trophy winner and 1997 Super Bowl MVP was selected for the College Football Hall of Fame last year.
Howard says youth football played "an integral role in my own development," and "being part of USA Football and making this sport even stronger -- while helping to positively affect the lives of young people -- is important to me."
USA Football conducts more than 80 events annually across the country for its members in all 50 states, offering education for coaches and game officials, skill development for players and resources for youth football league commissioners.
