A Notre Dame defender started chirping at USC quarterback Matt Leinart in the early going. Leinart dominated the game after that, throwing five TDs while putting up 38 unanswered points Matt Leinart didn't just dominate, completing 24 of 34 passes and throwing no interceptions, he emphatically stated his case for the Heisman Trophy with one of his best performances of the year.
STAT OF THE GAME: 10 and 4: The number of receivers to catch a pass for USC against Notre Dame, and the number of those receivers to catch a touchdown

Texas' Cedric Benson bullied his way in from a yard out to push the score to 26-13 with just over 9 minutes left in the game. The way the UT defense was attacking A&M, there was no way the Aggies would come back. With a nod to the defense that pressured A&M's Reggie McNeal all day, this game ball goes to Cedric Benson, who rushed for 165 yards and a TD in his final regular season game at Texas.
STAT OF THE GAME: 1: An unusual call gave the Horns a 1-point safety after a missed Texas PAT kick, an Aggie was declared down in the end zone after A&M tried to advance the conversion and gave Texas 1 point to tie the game 13-13.

Rashaun Scott recovered a Nevada fumble on a kickoff return after the Broncos' first touchdown. Boise State cashed it for a 14-0 lead three plays later. Safety Cam Hall was all over the field for the Broncos, taking one interception back for a 52-yard TD and taking another pick 64 yards to set up another score.
STAT OF THE GAME: 26 and 3: The number of consecutive Western Athletic Conference victories Boise State has posted and the number of consecutive WAC titles they've got to go with it.

Cedric Humes broke off a 37-yard TD run with just over five minutes left to play to give Virginia Tech a 24-10 lead. Virginia Tech's Bryan Randall, who completed 16 of 22 passes for 200 yards and a TD in his final home game. Randall became the Hokies' all-time leading passes with 6,061 yards.
STAT OF THE GAME: 1: The number of wins needed for Virginia Tech to win the ACC title in the Hokies' first season in the league. It all comes down to next week's game at Miami. The winner wins the conference title and BCS bowl spot.

Tennessee's Corey Campbell intercepted a Shane Boyd pass on fourth-and-10 with six seconds remaining. The way the 'Cats were moving the ball on the Vols, it never felt over until then. With props to Cedric Houston (127 rushing yards) and Robert Meachem (145 receiving yards and a TD), we go with Rick Clausen, who played well in place of injured freshmen Erik Ainge and Brent Schaeffer. He was 26 of 41 for 349 yards with two TDs and two INTs.
STAT OF THE GAME: 20: The number of consecutive wins for the Vols over the Wildcats. The last Kentucky win was in 1984.

Diamon Ferri stepped on the field. He ran for 141 yards with 2 TDs and picked off a pass and ran it back for a TD. Paul Pasqualoni, who despite all the turmoil surrounding him and his job, had the Orange ready and got them bowl-eligible with the win.

Arizona State's Matt Miller dropped a pass on fourth-and-10 from the Arizona 23 with just over a minute remaining to give the 'Cats the victory. Arizona coach Mike Stoops, who had the Wildcats playing hard all season and earned a valuable win over instate rival Arizona State (think he'll sell recruits on that a little?).
STAT OF THE GAME: 5, 4: The number of turnovers ASU had and the number of defensive players benched at random points of the game for violating team rules.

WVU's Rasheed Marshall's fourth-down pass with under a minute to play fell incomplete as Pitt took over on downs and ran the clock out. Tyler Palko, who rallied Pitt to a game-winning drive after being frustrated much of the night. He completed four third-down conversions and scored the game-winner.
STAT OF THE GAME: 5 of 6: The number of games Pitt has won and is now likely the winner of the Big East title with BC's loss.

The Texas Tech offense finally got rolling in the fourth quarter and the Red Raiders outscored OSU 15-0 in the final period. Texas Tech's offense gets all the attention, but it was the defense that proved to be the difference, holding high-powered OSU to 15 points.
STAT OF THE GAME: 81.9: The number of yards below average Texas Tech held the potent Oklahoma State rushing attack. The Cowboys were held to just 176 yards.

Toledo's Scooter McDougle scampered two yards for a TD with 6:13 left in the fourth quarter to put the score at 42-27, capping a 35-0 second half run for the Rockets. Give this to the entire Toledo team, who never gave up despite being down 27-7 at halftime and earned a spot in the MAC championship game.
STAT OF THE GAME: 5: The number of times Toledo has reached the MAC title game since 1997, but this may be the most impressive.
