Baylor (2-1) at No. 5 Texas (3-0) 12:30 pm EDT

AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Fifth-ranked Texas tries not to overlook Baylor when the teams open Big 12 Conference play on Saturday.

Next week, the Longhorns face Oklahoma in their annual "Red River Shootout" game, one they have lost the last four years, including a crushing 65-13 defeat last season.

This week, Texas faces a team that it has beaten six times in a row by an average of 48-8. The Longhorns have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with the Bears, waxing them last season in Waco, 56-0.

Texas (3-0) is coming off a 35-13 victory over Rice last Saturday in which Cedric Benson ran for 189 yards - his third 100-yard game this season - and a touchdown in just over a half.

Benson hopes to match A.J. Jones' 1980 school record of four straight 100-yard games to start a season.

Baylor (2-1) has won back-to-back games, including a 37-14 triumph over North Texas last Saturday. The game was tied, 14-14, before the Bears scored 23 unanswered points.

Dane King completed 20-of-33 passes for 213 yards and threw two touchdowns in the first minute of the fourth quarter to help put away the game.
