SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Chris Nutall ran for two touchdowns and Texas State dominated the line of scrimmage and the clock in a 28-3 win over Prairie View A&M on Saturday night.
Nutall ran off right end for a 4-yard score in the first quarter and the Bobcats (2-0) never looked back. They amassed 242 yards rushing in their home-opener compared with 45 for the Panthers (1-1). Texas State also had the ball more than 16 minutes longer than Prairie View.
Nutall scored again in the second quarter on a 77-yard run to widen the lead to 21-0.
Prairie View had more yards passing than Texas State, 182 to 166, but couldn't find the end zone. The Panthers' only score came on a 47-yard field goal by Christopher Barrick.
