Research Notes

On Nebraska's Jordan Westerkamp, who caught the Hail Mary TD to win the game... He's typically a punt returner and only had 10 career receptions entering the game. And he had never caught a pass longer than 25 yards, until his 49-yard catch on the Hail Mary.
According to ESPN's win probability model, Nebraska had a 2.7% chance of winning before Ron Kellogg III's 49-yard hail mary touchdown pass to Jordan Westerkamp as time expired. The play increased Nebraska's win probability by 97.3 percentage points, the largest increase in win probability for any play this season.
