STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Darrent Williams returned two
punts for touchdowns as Oklahoma State routed
Louisiana-Lafayette, 56-3, for its fourth straight victory.
Williams took back a punt 68 yards with 17 seconds left in the
first half and another one 59 yards with 6:49 remaining in the
third quarter to give the Cowboys (4-1) a 35-3 lead.
Vernand Morency rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 18
carries for Oklahoma State.
The winless Ragin Cajuns (0-6) grabbed a 3-0 lead on Sean
Comiskey's 40-yard field goal with 3:37 left in the first
quarter following a fumble by Oklahoma State's Tatum Bell.
But the Cowboys took control with a 28-point second quarter.
Morency scored on runs of one and 68 yards while Josh Fields
tossed an 18-yard TD pass to D'Juan Woods in the period.
Bell, who rushed for 504 yards and seven touchdowns in Oklahoma
State's first four games, did not return following his fumble.
He had just two carries for 12 yards.
Fields completed 11-of-21 passes for 138 yards and two
Eric Rekieta completed 25-of-37 passes for 225 yards for the
Ragin' Cajuns, who were held to just 72 yards on the ground.
