Hartigan's one-yard plunge capped a 95-yard drive asBrown (4-5, 3-3 Ivy) won its sixth consecutive game against Dartmouth (4-5, 3-3).
Hartigan gained 194 yards on 38 carries to set the Bears' single-season school record with 1,297 yards, passing Mike Malan's total of 1,213 set in 2000.
Hartigan's 1-yard run gave him a league-leading 12 touchdowns, and Slager completed 27 of 53 passes for 336 yards.
The Big Green led 14-6 lead at intermission, butBrown tied the game 14-14 on the first play of the fourth quarter when Slager ran four yards around left end and then threw a two-point conversion pass to Lonnie Hill. Dartmouth retook the lead on another 25-yard touchdown pass from Rittgers to Cramer, who finished with 10 catches for 137 yards.
