TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Javarus Dudley caught 10 passes for 246 yards
and four touchdowns to lead Fordham to a 35-22 win over Towson on
Devin Eakin connected with Dudley on three straight touchdown
passes for the Rams (9-3, 4-3 Patriot League) to take a 28-7 lead
into the fourth quarter.
Dudley caught touchdown passes of 4, 70 and 21 yards from Eakin,
who went 15-of-27 for 294 yards and two interceptions. Tad Konregay
capped the scoring run with 40-yard interception return for a
Towson (6-6, 3-4) scored with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter on
Ray Harris' 1-yard touchdown run to trim Fordham's lead to 28-14.
Fordham took possession on its own 13-yard line after the
ensuing kickoff. Towson's P.D. Moore sacked Eakin at the Ram 1-yard
With a fourth and 20 at their own two yard line, the Rams took a
safety as Moore chased Eakin out of the end zone.
Greg Whalen intercepted a Tiger pass on the next series to set
up Fordham's next score -- a 3-yard pass from Eakin to Dudley in the
end zone to give the Rams a 35-16 lead.
