HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) -- Tim Gale rushed for 140 yards and a
touchdown on 20 carries to lead Northeastern to a 41-24 victory
over James Madison on Saturday.
Shane Hopkins caught two 1-yard touchdown passes from Shawn
Brady in the first half. The second one put Northeastern (8-4, 6-3
Atlantic 10) on top 24-7 with 3:22 remaining in the first half.
Quintin Mitchell scored from 4 yards out with 10:06 left to go
in the third quarter for the Huskies to extend the lead to 31-10.
Matt LeZotte completed 26 of 40 passes, including a 34-yard
touchdown pass to Aaron Bransford in the fourth quarter for James
Madison (6-6, 4-5), which lost its first game at home this season.
Alvin Banks had touchdown runs of 2 and 1 yards for the Dukes.
