AMHERST, Mass. (AP) -- Sonny Riccio threw for two touchdowns, leading Delaware to a 21-7 win at Massachusetts on Saturday.

Delaware (3-1, 2-0 Atlantic 10) took a 14-7 lead when Riccio connected with David Boler with 12:21 left in the fourth quarter. The Blue Hens added an eight-yard TD run by Sean Bleiler late in the fourth.

UMass (2-2, 0-2) played its first game with head coach Don Brown on the sidelines. Brown had been suspended for the Minutemen's first three games as part of a settlement between UMass and Northeastern, his former employer.

Bleiler led Delaware with 21 carries for 110 yards. Riccio was 11-of-18 for 115 yards and rushed for 70 yards on 17 carries.

Steve Baylark led the Minutemen with 94 yards on 17 carries. Tim Day was 12 of 23 with one touchdown for UMass.

Delaware, the defending Division I-AA champions, took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter on Riccio's 26-yard TD pass to Joe Bleymaier. UMass responded with a 76-yard scoring drive capped by Brandon London's scoring run with 5:18 left in the first half.

The Blue Hens allowed UMass only 10 first downs while succeeding on 9 of 15 third-down conversions.
