HANOVER, N.H.(AP) -- Ricky Santos threw four touchdown passes and
Baron Flenory returned an interception 87 yards for another score
Saturday in New Hampshire's 45-24 victory over Dartmouth.
New Hampshire (3-1) went up 10-0 on two scores in the first
quarter but Dartmouth (0-2) took the lead midway through the second
period on Charlie Rittgers' 73-yard scoring pass to Ray Rochester
and a 6-yard touchdown flip to Andrew Hall with 7:54 remaining.
The Wildcats scored two touchdowns in 2:12 during the second
period to retake the lead for good.
Santos marched New Hampshire 70 yards, hitting Jonathan Williams
on a 15-yard touchdown pass with 5:58 left. Five plays later,
Flenory picked off a Rittgers pass at the Wildcat 13 and sprinted
down the sideline for a touchdown.
Santos and David Ball hooked up on two scoring passes -- a
36-yard aerial that opened the scoring in the second half and a
22-yard strike midway through the final period. In between, R.J.
Harvey scored on a 1-yard plunge and David Bailey scored on a
22-yard touchdown pass.
Connor McCormick had a 36-yard field goal with two seconds left
in the first half.
The final Dartmouth score came on a 10-yard pass from Rittgers
to Bob Murphy. Erik Hinterbichler kicked a 20-yard field goal to go
with his three extra points.
