EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- Clifton Dawson rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead Harvard to a 38-23 win over Lafayette on Saturday.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 13 of 24 passes for 218 yards and threw one touchdown and ran for another in the first half to lead Harvard (3-0) to a 21-10 halftime lead.

Lafayette (3-2) was led by Joe McCourt, who rushed for 101 yards -- the 18th 100-yard rushing game of his career -- and scored one touchdown and caught a touchdown pass from Brad Maurer.

After a touchdown run by Dawson and a missed extra-point attempt, Lafayette's Brandon Stanford scored on a 19-yard run to give the Leopards a 7-6 lead.

But Fitzpatrick scored on a 4-yard run to open the second quarter and completed a 2-point conversion attempt to Cory Mazza. Fitzpatrick then hooked up with Mazza for a 61-yard touchdown pass a little over two minutes later to give the Crimson a 21-7 lead.

Mazza finished with four catches for 112 yards and Matt Schindel capped the scoring with a 31-yard field goal for Harvard.
