Butler 21, Austin Peay 14

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Butler's Ian Nelson and Derek North rushed
for one touchdown apiece as the Bulldogs defeated Austin Peay 21-14
on Saturday.

Nelson, who totaled 81 yards on 20 carries while completing
11-of-19 passes for 151 yards, broke free for a 14-yard run at the
8:10 mark of the first quarter to give Butler (1-4) a 6-0 lead, but
Eric Neumeier's extra point was blocked. Neumeier also missed two
field goals.

North followed in the second quarter with his own 14-yard run.
Nelson ran the ball in for the two-point conversion to give the
Bulldogs a 14-7 lead.

Butler's final scoring play came on special teams when Matt
McCanna returned a punt 66 yards with 12:29 left in the third
quarter, making the score 21-7.

The Governors (0-5) took their only lead of the game in the
first quarter on Jesse Kellogg's 66-yard touchdown pass to Paul
Derrick with 3:45 left in the period.

Kellogg completed 16-of-34 passes for 249 yards with a touchdown
and an interception.

Chris Fletcher scored Austin Peay's other touchdown on a 12-yard
run with 6:27 remaining. Fletcher rushed 16 times for 75 yards.
