FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Quarterback Dan Ammel led Sacred Heart to a 30-24 win over Wagner College Saturday with a 24-yard pass to Alvin Franklin in double overtime.

Ammel tied the game when he threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Franklin in the first half. Ed Pricolo had a 31-yard run with 10:01 to go, which gave the Pioneers a 21-14 lead before the third quarter.

Pricolo, a junior tailback, ran for 238 yards, a career high, and two touchdowns.

After a scoreless third quarter, Wagner (3-2) came back with an 11-play, 82-yard drive with a 2-yard run by Warren Barnett. The score was tied at 24-24 going into overtime.

Sacred Heart (2-3) failed to score in the first overtime. A 26-yard pass from Ammel to Bryan Butterworth was called back because of a holding penalty, and the next play ended with an interception by Wagner's Tony Smith.

In the second overtime, Wagner had the first offensive possession that ended with a missed field goal by Piotr Czech. For Sacred Heart, Ammel found Franklin on the left sideline at the 2 yard line and threw it to him for the winning score.
