SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Joe Wiser threw two first-half touchdown passes and Portland State extended Sacramento State's scoring drought to 2½ games with a 31-0 victory on Saturday night.

Wiser hit Shaun Bodiford for a 16-yard score in the first quarter, then threw a 7-yard TD pass to Brendan Ferrigno late in the second quarter.

Ryan Fuqua also rushed for a score for the Vikings (3-2, 1-1 Big Sky Conference), who led 24-0 at halftime.

Sacramento State (1-4, 0-2) hasn't scored since the first half of a 58-23 loss to UC Davis on Sept. 25. The Hornets were shut out 26-0 last week at Northern Arizona.

After an early field goal, Ferrigno's 53-yard punt return set up Bodiford's TD catch. Portland State's defense, which allowed 41 points to Eastern Washington last week, stopped every significant drive by the Hornets in the second half.
