NEW YORK (AP) -- Nick Hartigan scored on a 1-yard run in overtime
to give Brown a 27-20 victory over Fordham on Saturday.
Hartigan also scored on runs of 2 and 15 yards, and finished
with 125 on 42 carries for the Bears (3-1).
Derric Daniels completed 15 of 28 passes for 148 yards and one
TD for the Rams (4-2), who forced overtime on Micah Clukey's
34-yard field goal with 35 seconds left.
Hartigan's 2-yard run in the first quarter gave the Ivy League
school a 7-0 lead, but the Rams moved in front 10-7 on Daniels'
30-yard pass to Steve Porcco in the second.
Steve Morgan's 21-yard field goal tied it at 10 early in the
third quarter, but Fordham's Ray Loney returned the ensuing kickoff
97 yards to put Fordham back in front.
Hartigan's second TD on a 15-yard run enabled Brown to tie it at
17 at 4:09, also of the third. Morgan's 45-yard field goal with six
minites left put the visitors on top 20-17, but Clukey tied it with
his 34-yarder with 35 seconds left.
