La Salle 21, Ursinus 19

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Ken Triboletti rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns and La Salle's defense held off a late rally by Ursinus for a 21-19 win on Saturday.

Coming out of halftime with a 14-6 lead, La Salle (2-4) got a 56-yard touchdown run by Triboletti to make the score 21-6. Ursinus responded with a pair of touchdown passes by Vince Gallagher, who threw for 230 yards, to pull to 21-19.

The Bears had a chance to tie the game with 3:20 to go on a 2-point conversion attempt following a 20-yard touchdown pass to Evan DiBlassio, but Gallagher's pass was incomplete.

La Salle got a defensive stand to preserve the win after Ursinus (1-4) drove to the Explorers' 28-yard line. Jeff Fletcher knocked down Gallagher's fourth-down pass in the end zone with 9.4 seconds remaining.

Triboletti scored on a 2-yard run to give the Explorers an early lead. Ursinus' Daniel Duffy scored on a 1-yard run early in the second quarter, but the kick was blocked to keep the score 7-6. La Salle quarterback Vernard Abrams scored on a 4-yard run to cap a 14-play, 86-yard drive with 35 seconds to go in the half to make the score 14-6.

Josh Hannum caught Gallagher's other touchdown pass -- a 15-yarder -- in the third quarter.

La Salle won despite turning the ball over seven times on five interceptions and two fumbles. Ursinus fumbled five times, losing four.
