Southern Illinois 37, Youngstown State 2

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Joel Sambursky threw for two touchdowns
and Alexis Moreland's 95-yard interception return set the tone for
Southern Illinois on defense in a 37-2 win against Youngstown State
on Saturday night.

Moreland picked off Tom Zetts early in the first quarter,
killing the Penguins' 58-yard drive.

Southern Illinois (5-1, 2-0 Gateway Conference) scored with
their defense again when Mark Philipp sacked Zetts for a safety in
the second quarter.

Sambursky, who was 11-for-19 for 215 yards and an interception,
threw a 56-yard TD to Craig Turner and a 47-yard TD to Brent
Little. Arkee Whitlock scored on a 49-yard run for a 30-0 halftime

Youngstown State's Justin Martin sacked Sambursky for a 14-yard
loss in the end zone for a safety late in the third quarter.

The Penguins (2-4, 0-2) managed only 204 yards of total offense.
Zetts was 10-for-23 for 112 yards. Regis Edgerson rushed for 44
yards on 11 carries.
